Latest In Beauty Subscription Box Review

I have always loved beauty products and as such always wear makeup every day. I always have my nails painted, so when I came across a subscription box full of beauty products I was over the moon! There are no end of subscription box companies in the UK now and there is no sign of them slowing down. From kids subscription boxes, like Fred’s Box to alcohol subscription boxes, to sewing subscription boxes there is a box for absolutely everyone in the family.

The Latest in Beauty box from the outside is just a brown box with a pink sticker on. Upon opening though I was very pleased to see the inside of the box was pink with pink tissue paper and more pink packaging!

This subscription box was founded in 2008 and as such has over 5 million customers in the UK.  They have worked with over 500 brands like Clinique, L’Oreal Paris, Nails Inc, Elemis, Rimmel, ESPA, Benefit, L’Occitane, Charlotte Tilbury, La Roche-Posay and many more.

What I liked about this subscription box is it is not a surprise, you actually get to chose what you would like. I am celebrating my 40th birthday and my husbands 50th birthday in Jamaica at the end of this month and was delighted to see lots of sun creams, fake tans, colourful nail varnish etc and that is exactly what I got.

There were lots of other items that could be chosen. I know in November lots of people wouldn’t want sunscreen, but there were over 200 items I could have selected so they really do cater for everyone.

This subscription box could be ordered either as a one off or on a monthly subscription, and you can chose between 3, 6 or 9 products in the box. I was sent the beauty guru box which had 9 items in and as a one off order costs £25. If this was ordered as a monthly subscription however, it would only be £18 which I think for the items received this is an absolute steal.

I have tried to calculate the prices but I found it really hard as so many of the items I had chosen were in my opinion sample sizes. But of the items I could purchase:

Revlon Nail Enamel £3.95

Tinted Lip Balm £5.99

Gradual Tan in Shower £5.99

Kitsch Hair Ties £6

Glimmer Shimmering Sun Lotion £4

And just these items amounted to over £25 and there were another 4 items so well worth the money.

Revlon Nail Enamel

Excuse the state of my hands and nails but I couldn’t wait to try out the nail varnish. I only wear bright bold colours and this one will be perfect for Jamaica. I love it.

The value for money was excellent, and I could have easily chosen 9 items that were of much greater value than I did. The downside however, was some of the items were effectively samples and one was actually out of date expiry 10/17 which I found a little disappointing. Now I imagine this was my fault with choosing what I had chosen, as I could have easily chosen 9 nail varnishes or hair ties or other larger items.

Overall I am very happy with the subscription box and would definitely consider ordering it again.
