Spread the love

If you are looking for Halloween Ideas then check out what we get up to!!

We love Halloween in this house and it is normally the first time the Elf on the Shelf makes his first appearance!

We mummify the elf on the shelf and often have a switch witch that pays a visit too!

Halloween at the Browns

Honestly I know I am mad, but the kids absolutely love it!

Halloween and the Elf on the Shelf and the Switch Witch

What is a Switch Witch?

This is a good witch that takes some of the kids sweets that they have received while trick or treating and changes it into a toy! This works really well for us as Freddie doesn’t really like sweets or chocolate. In fact one year someone had some fruit in their bowl and Freddie was apparently the only child that actually opted for fruit!!

The Switch Witch and the Magic of Switchcraft

You can buy this in the UK, however, it is much cheaper to purchase from America and pay the delivery. This is a link to the American Amazon site. A lot of the Elf on the Shelf costumes etc I have purchased this way.

Skeleton in the Closet

This year I have come across yet another Halloween book and doll which I will be getting. The Skeleton in the Closet!! This is an alternative to the Elf on the Shelf and the skeleton comes for the Halloween season and plays tricks on the children.

Halloween Fancy Dress

These are just a few of the outfits Freddie has worn over Halloween. He absolutely loves it as you can see!!! I tend to get the outfits from Asda as I find them to be the most reasonably priced and the best.

  1. I love carving the pumpkin with my daughter, Great fun and brings back memories of when I was little. Dressing up is fun too.

  2. Love decoating our home, then taking the kids trick or treating and enjoying the sweets. they always share xxx

  3. The local area puts a lot of effort in for Halloween. They decorate the houses, have a couple of pop up tents on the street serving hot drinks and treats to raise money for local charities. I love walking around there. It gets busy and there’s a great community feel to it. Anyone who doesn’t want to take part just puts an orange poster in their window and they’re left alone.

  4. My almost 4 year old has been Halloween obsessed since he was about 2, to him its his Christmas I love all of his excitment and nervous energy around it. This would be amazing to win for him

  5. I love Halloween as my kids love dressing up, their little faces when they get a whole bag full of candy. I love seeing them happy.

  6. This is the first year we’re actually celebrating Halloween. I can’t wait to get my son into some fancy dress and go to a tots disco! #KCACOLS

  7. The books look fantastic, I have never seen those before. Thanks so much for linking up at #KCACOLS. Hope you come back again next time

  8. love seeing all the kids dressed up we get a lot of our kids friends that come to tell us jokes or do a wee dance

  9. I love the fact that Halloween is the only time of year I can get my hubby to dress up in fancy dress and he always looks amazing! Last year he dressed as Gene Simmonds from Kiss and for a quiet, shy guy, it was such a transformation!

  10. I now enjoy Halloween in our new area, which is near a primary school so most people near us put out pumpkins and decorations but some go all in and it’s fabulous seeing other peoples gardens & ideas!
I love the air and enjoy getting dressed up & being daft with the kids, meeting new neighbours out and about. EXCITED!

  11. tTaking the “little monsters” trick or treating and then when they are in bed, watching horror films in the dark with the lights off.

  12. We love to decorate the house, play spooky games and have some of my boys friends round. Lots of gross food, fun and games love Halloween x
