Disclosure – this is a collaboration post

Do you feel as though you and your partner need some ‘couple time’? Or do you want to surprise them for your anniversary or their birthday? Then why not arrange a romantic getaway for the two of you?

From London to Paris and New York to Venice, there are so many wonderful cities out there that are the ideal romantic destination. And to help you plan this trip to perfection, I’ve put together these top tips:

Romantic getaway - Venice

Make Sure You’ve Got the Time for this Getaway

If you’re going to do this properly and make it a full-on surprise, you’ll need to make sure both of your schedules are clear at the time you’re thinking of travelling.

Speak to yours and your partner’s boss, arrange childcare and plan everything well in advance so you know there won’t be any hiccups along the way.

Decide Where You’re Going to Go

Now that you have the dates in mind, you can start looking for the ultimate destination.

Consider what you and your partner like to do before searching for somewhere that’ll allow you to relax and unwind in the best way you know how. For example, if you love trying new cuisines, why not venture to a country you’ve never been to before?

Or, if you like to be active, look out for locations that’ll have plenty of nearby activities you can get involved in – or consider walking/hiking holidays.

Equally, if you feel like you need some time out and complete relaxation, look for a spa hotel that has some nearby things to do so you can either spend your days relaxing in the spa or venturing out for an hour or two to explore the sights.

Plan Some Activities

To make the most of this romantic getaway, it’s a good idea to put together a loose itinerary. While you won’t want to be dictated to as such, it is worthwhile knowing what there is to do so you aren’t wasting time deliberating over your plans.

For example, if you’re heading to London, a Thames river cruise will add the perfect romantic twist (especially if you add in dinner and champagne), while tickets to the Moulin Rouge may be the ideal addition for your trip to Paris.

Find Good Places to Eat

Another thing many travellers waste a lot of time doing is trying to find somewhere they want to eat. When you head to cities you’re often spoilt for choice with the food on offer which can make it difficult for you to decide what you’re going to have. So, pick out a few places before you go so you still have a choice but aren’t overwhelmed when you get there.

…And Enjoy!

With all of this planning and preparation done in advance, all that’s left for you to do now is pack your bags, set off on your romantic trip and enjoy!

Timeshares in Orlando are a dime a dozen, so if you’d like to sell Orange Lake timeshare in Orlando, you’re going to need the help of a licensed broker. Timeshares for sale on the secondary market are difficult to sell without a firm specialized in timeshare resale.
